The bed was exceptionally comfortable. the room itself was super clean. There were a microwave oven, an electric kettle, and a fridge too. the location was wonderful and fantastic, to the bus terminal within 5-10 minutes, convenient to go everywhere. Rewritten Review: The bed was so comfy, and the room was spotless. I also appreciated having a microwave, electric kettle, and fridge available. Plus, the location was fantastic, just a quick 5-10 minute walk to the bus terminal, making it easy to explore everywhere.

From the moment I arrived at the cozy bed and breakfast, I felt welcomed and at home. The owner, Carlos, was helpful and were very good too make sure I had a fantastic experience in Puerto Montt. He shared his extensive knowledge of Chile and helped me plan my itinerary, ensuring that I made the most of my time there. The rooms werevery comfy and tidy, with crisp linens and a cozy ambiance. The view from the B&B was amazing, overlooking the water and town. I particularly enjoyed spending time in the lounge area, sipping tea provided by Carlos, and taking in the beautiful seaview while sitting by the fireplace. Despite being in a working port town, I always felt safe walking the streets, even when returning late at night. I had an amazing stay at Portal Austral and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Puerto Montt.

The room I stayed in at Portal Austral was cozy and comfortable. I loved having free WiFi to stay connected. The dining area and electric kettle in the twin/double room made it convenient for me to enjoy meals in my room. The mountain view from another twin/double room was stunning.
Personally, I didn't find the patio in one of the single rooms appealing, but others might enjoy it.

Stunningly beautiful property with mesmerizing glass views of the sea. The hospitality and assistance provided by the staff made us feel immediately settled, like visiting a family member's home. This is one of the best properties we've stayed at in Chile. Highly recommend!

The hotel is conveniently located close to the bus terminal, making it easily accessible arriving by bus. It is just a 5-10 minute walk away, allowing for a hassle-free arrival and departure. its proximity to the city center means that guests have easy access to shops, restaurants, and other amenities.
The walls in the rooms are quite thin, which can result in some noise from neighboring rooms. this is a minor inconvenience and does not detract from the overall comfort and enjoyable experience at the hotel.

I couldn't have asked for better value for my money. The room at the Bed & Breakfast was cozy and had everything I needed. It was in a great location, close to the bus station and restaurants. The owners, Jocelyn and her husband, were incredibly sweet and accommodating. They even woke up early to serve me a delicious breakfast before my early flight. Jocelyn spoke excellent English and helped me find a fantastic dinner spot.
The morning meal could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

I stayed at the Portal Austral B&B for a few nights while exploring the area. The hosts, Jocelyn and her husband, were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. They even prepared a special Venezuelan Christmas treat for me and another guest. The location is great, with the bus station and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was tasty. The lounge area had a panoramic view of the town and the bay, which was beautiful.
I would be happy to recommend this B&B.

During my New Year's stay, I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing panoramic views from both my room and the lounge area. The stunning vistas of the town and the bay were truly a highlight of this hotel experience. the cozy and comfortable private room provided a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. I also appreciated the helpful and friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure that my questions were answered and any concerns were addressed promptly.
One aspect that was a bit disappointing was the uphill location of the hotel. This meant having to navigate a series of steep stairs in order to reach the hotel from the bus station.
